Khamiri Roti on Tawa [Naan Roti / Tandoori Roti]
Introduction: Khamiri roti is a Central and South Asian dish,it's a tandoor-baked flat bread. Prepare in India, Persia and other Central Asian Countries.
Ingredients:
- Flour 2 cups (maida)
- Oil 1 and 1/2 tbsp
- Yogurt 1/3 cup (dahi/curd)
- Baking powder 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Sugar powder 1 tsp
- Warm water 1/2 cup
- take maida, salt ,sugar, baking powder, baking soda mix all together
- add yogurt and oil mix again together
- add warm water slowly and make a soft dough
- cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour
- after 1 hour, cut a handful of dough and make a ball
- make a thick roti
- heat a thick bottom tawa, put the roti on the tawa
- wait for bubbles to come on top of the roti
- flip the roti
- check whether the bubbles turns brownish, then roti is ready
- ready to serve with butter
