Khamiri Roti on Tawa [Naan Roti / Tandoori Roti]

Introduction: Khamiri roti is a Central and South Asian dish,it's a tandoor-baked flat bread. Prepare in India, Persia and other Central Asian Countries.

Ingredients:
  • Flour 2 cups (maida)
  • Oil 1 and 1/2 tbsp 
  • Yogurt 1/3 cup (dahi/curd) 
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar powder 1 tsp
  • Warm water 1/2 cup
Procedure:
  1. take maida, salt ,sugar, baking powder, baking soda mix all together
  2. add yogurt and oil mix again together
  3. add warm water slowly and make a soft dough
  4. cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour
  5. after 1 hour, cut a handful of dough and make a ball
  6. make a thick roti
  7. heat a thick bottom tawa, put the roti on the tawa
  8. wait for bubbles to come on top of the roti
  9. flip the roti
  10. check whether  the bubbles turns brownish, then roti is ready
  11. ready to serve with butter
Serves: 2 rotis each person.
