Chilli Chicken [Indo Chinese style]
Introduction: Spicy Chilli Chicken is a very popular Indo-Chinese dish in India. it is prepared by first marinating skinless boneless chicken in vinegar, ginger-garlic paste and coted with Corn starch and egg and then deep fried.
- 1 chicken breast cut into bite size pieces
- 2 tbsp each ginger - garlic paste
- 1 row egg, 1/2 cup of vinegar
- 5-6 tbsp corn starch and [1 tsp semolina optional]
- 10-15 chopped green chillies shocked in 2 tbsp vinegar
- 3-4 tbsp tomato sauce
- 4-6 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Salt and sugar as per taste
- 1/2 cup of medium diced cut tomato
- 1/2 cup of medium diced cut onion
- 1/2 cup of medium diced cut capsicum
- 1/2 cup of white oil for cooking & frying
Marinate the chicken pieces with vinegar for 1/2 an hour
Now 2nd marination. Drain the extra vinegar .
After then add 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp ginger -garlic
paste and 1 egg and mix well and keep aside for 15 mins.
After then add corn starch and semolina and mix
well. Now heat oil in a wok and fry the chicken
pieces until light golden on high flame. Now all fried
chicken pieces keep a side.
Now add capsicum and onion in that remaining oil
and saute them 1-2 mins .
After then add fried chickens and stir for 2 mins
on medium flame then add ginger -girlic paste .

After that add vinegar soaked chopped green
chillies and tomato sauce and mix well .
When its starts to boil then add 2 tbsp corn starch
with 2-3 tbsp chicken stock / water and mix well.

Now ready to serve Gravy Chilli Chicken with
Fried rice or Paratha.
